Valentine's Day with Turo

Hello!

Do you have plans for Valentine's Day already? If not, this post is for you! I bring some suggestions for all the lovey-dovey couples who want to go on a road trip or just want to have a fancier date.

"Yeah, a road trip would be great! But my car is not the best for long trips..."
"I would love to have dinner at the new fancy restaurant, I have the perfect dress, but my car... I wish I had a better car for that moment, like in the movies!"
"I want to take my partner for a date, but I don't even have a car."

Now you don't have to worry about these problems! The solution is Turo: a new car-sharing company (like car renting, but better) from San Francisco. How is Turo better than the traditional car renting companies? Anyone can create a free listing with a few clicks. If you have a car collecting dust in garage, you can list it and make money! That car may be the perfect van for a road trip, the fantastic convertible to go on a fancy date or a unique car to explore the city.

To rent a car, you have to sign up for Turo with Facebook, Google, or your email. They’ll confirm your identity and eligibility so you can become an approved driver. Then, find the perfect car! Enter your travel dates and location and search Turo's vast selection of unique, locally-owned cars.  Once you've chosen the car of your dreams, book it! The owner will confirm or decline your trip within eight hours, but typically it’s much sooner. You have to meet with the owner to pick the car. Many owners offer delivery, so they may bring it right to you. Walk around the car, show them your license, grab the keys, and drive off into the sunset. Now you are ready to have the time of your life! At the end of your trip, replace the gas you used and meet the owner to drop off the car. Walk around the car again, hand over the keys, give them a high five, and start planning your next adventure. As you can see, it is very easy!

Now that you learned everything and became even more interested, I leave you with some Valentine's Day suggestions.

The first is my favorite: the road trip. I got inspired by the Turo members' adventures and I've picked some destinations:
  • Crested Butte: well known for its world-class skiing, mountain biking, and hiking. It is very popular amongst outdoor enthusiasts, with its wildflower blooms in the late spring, the snow during winter and the beautiful colors during fall. The perfect car is a Nissan Pathfinder.
  • Route 66: the most famous route! It is a great drive, weaving around rock formations, along the Utah and Arizona border. The trip is not complete if you don't witness the Grand Canyon. The best car is a Audi Q5
  • Olympic Peninsula: The Deer Park is a must-see! Also check the beautiful Lake Crescent and Cape Flattery, the northwesternmost point of the contiguous US. The best way to explore these places is with a Volkswagen Vanagon.
The second suggestion is a date night at Miami. Go to a charming restaurant by the beach and watch the sunset. Isn't this perfect? Check the best cars for rent here.

I hope you like this post! I want to know your opinion, leave them at the comments section.

xoxo,
